I would like to pose a question, and perhaps one that you may not consider often: where can a good question take you? Can it lead you to a triumphant conclusion? Is it something that makes you see the world in a new light? Or is it an idea that allows you to explore the inner workings of all your thoughts? Perhaps a good question leads you to all of these places, but no matter what the case, one thing is always for certain: our answers to any good question are a product of our curiosity and a product of pursuing this curiosity to no end.

In working through the content of this portfolio, I visited many different places and encountered many different ideas - and arguably, it was all the result of one underlying question: What is it exactly, that is driving our individual perceptions of political discourse? Now at first, such a question may seem somewhat trivial. Surely we can attribute our own train of thought to our upbringing, our social perceptions, and even our media exposure. But in truth, as I explored these explanations, each passing answer gave rise to only more questions. And so I continued to delve deeper and deeper into the issue at hand.

This portfolio, in and of itself, is a product of my search for such answers. My hope is that in journeying through my work, you will see the culmination of hours of hard work and many questions asked. As I reworked ideas from past papers, placed ideas into new media contexts, and pinned down my underlying motivations for pursuing these works, I came to many different conclusions that I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

But perhaps above all, I hope you enjoy seeing exactly where a good question can take you.
