Not too far from Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, I grew up in the city of Novi, Michigan. Even from a young age I knew I wanted to attend school here at Michigan, and I am extremely grateful that I have had the opportunity to pursue this dream.

As a current junior studying Biomolecular Science, I have developed a great appreciation for the field of biology and chemistry. In learning about the many disciplines that comprise this subset of science, I have participated in research concerning immunology, renal pathology, and pulmonary pathology here in the university's health system. Though at times daunting, this research and coursework have been extremely rewarding as it has played a huge part in my educational experience here at the University of Michigan.

And though the natural sciences have been something I truly enjoy here at Michigan, I would be remiss if I didn't mention writing right alongside it. Up until taking advantage of the Sweetland writing minor, I had never been one to really consider himself much of a writer; but in truth, it has been my favorite course of study throughout my undergraduate career. Regardless of where I end up in the near future, I know I will be continuing to work and grow in writing.

While I do not know exactly what the future holds, I hope to continue much of the work I have started. I want to stay active in community charity, continue a pursuit of law school, continue being a practicing guitarist and saxophonist, and continue a pursuit of education in both writing and science. No matter where I go or where I end up, I without a doubt intend on bringing these things with me.
